HOW DID YOU USE NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION STAGES?
Camera
We used Canon DSLR Cameras as standard in to film all of the clips in our trailer. We used these cameras as they're user friendly, light and film in 1080p in well lit situations. In order to make the prison well let we had to bring large floodlight lamps. The other positive about using this camera is the large storage size, meaning we only needed two cards for two cameras. This helped us later when it came to editing the clips in to our trailer, as less cards mean it was easier to keep track of the clips.

Final Cut Pro X
We used Final Cut Pro X to edit our work. This involved having to remove all the back ground sound and splice different clips together in order to create the trailer. We also used it to add additional sound and dialogue, as well as editing the colour saturations on each of the clips, making the shadows darker and the highlights lighter. This added to the overall polish of the project. We found that even though we were using a professional grade editing suite, it was relatively simple to use and to edit with. It also allowed us a great scope to experiment with, allowing multiple cuts of the trailer to be created.

Microsoft Office Word 2011
After our initial research it was time to create a plan, we did this through a software standard on most computers, Microsoft Word. Whilst nearly all computer don't ship with it pre-installed, it's easy to find a copy and buy a license key. We then set about creating a shooting schedule and a script for positions and actors involved in each scene but did not contain speech as that wasn't necesary as we knew we would have a voice over in order to overlay the trailer and help to explain the storyline.

QuickTime Player
We have used QuickTime player to create our screencast. It is a simple to use software that is user friendly, and allowed us to easily create our screencast on Mac. Coming pre-installed on nearly all Macs, its user-friendly, easy to access, and doesn't even require a download, making it the obvious choice for screencasting and recording our process of downloading clips and editing them. It also comes
