In this section, we have used The Internet Movie Database to find out the top 30 grossing US horror films. We did this in order to get an idea of what sub-genre to make our film. Here is the list:

Due to this list, we have decided to our film a slasher. This is because there are only a few slasher films in the top 30 so there is space in the market for one. The market is saturated with paranormal films so we decided not to make one of those.
